White-eared Hummingbird (Hylocharis leucotis), Upper Miller Canyon, Cochise County

This White-eared Hummingbird was found and photographed by Charles Melton on 07 June 2015

Possibly the same bird that has been frequenting Beatty's Guest Ranch lower in the canyon.

A rare summer resident in the mountains of southeastern Arizona.  

The extremely prominent, bright white eyebrow of both sexes of the White-eared Hummingbird is unmistakable.
