Fan-tailed Warbler (Basileuterus lachrymosa), Ramsey Canyon, Cochise CountyThis Fan-tailed Warbler was photographed by Wade Leitner on 31 May 2015 Discovered in a mist net on private property in Ramsey Canyon but could not be reported at the time due to access restrictions. It was banded and released, likely the first of its kind ever to be banded in the U.S. There are eight prior accepted records for Arizona with one additional report from 2014 still pending review by ABC. Many of these records are in May and June, suggesting spring overshoots.
