Kentucky Warbler (Geothlypis formosa), Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Pinal County

This Kentucky Warbler was found and photographed by Greg McKee on 13 September 2015

A rare migrant in Arizona, more often seen in the spring.

Distinctive with entirely bright yellow underparts, black below around the eye running down along the edge of the malar (with black on the face and crown more extensive and solidly black on adult males) and a conspicuous yellow supercillium which wraps around the eye.
