This Broad-winged Hawk was found and photographed by Dominic Sherony on 13 April 2016

Casual in spring in Arizona, but increasingly reported in recent years in Arizona and throughout the western US.

Small Buteo with rufous barring below, broad black and white bands on the tail, fairly pointed wings and a light underwing with dark border.
