Hooded Warbler (Setophaga citrina), Pine Creek Canyon, Gila County

This Hooded Warbler was found and photographed by Brian Ison on 24 July 2016

Rare transient and summer visitor with most records in the spring, records have increased in recent years; only the third known record for Gila Co., one of which was from the same stretch of canyon last year.

Yellow face framed by olive with faint black markings; shortish tail with white outer retrices.
