Worm-eating Warbler (Helmitheros vermivorum), Taylor, Navajo County

This Worm-eating Warbler was found by Nick and Connie Worth and photographed by Connie Worth on 17 September 2016

A casual transient and winter visitor with a few summer records as well. This represents the first record for Navajo County.

It is one of the most distinctive warblers and, seen well, it is unmistakable. Note the large bill, striped head, and buffy overall color.
