Magnolia Warbler (Setophaga magnolia), Rio de Flagstaff, Coconino County

This Magnolia Warbler was found by Roger Sleeper on 5 November, 2016 and photographed by Jason Wilder on 06 November 2016

Casual in Arizona, nearly annual as a migrant or winter visitor. However if accepted, this would be the first record for northern Arizona since 2008.

The tail pattern of Magnolia Warbler is diagnostic at all times, which has bright white undertail coverts with a noticable dark tipped tail. Other field marks are two narrow white wing-bars, a plain greenish back, and yellow undersides with black streaks on the sides and a hint of a black 'necklace'.
