Blackpoll Warbler (Setophaga striata), Sweetwater Wetlands, Pima County

This Blackpoll Warbler was found by Jeff Babson and photographed by Chris Rohrer on 07 May 2017

Blackpoll Warbler is a casual spring and rare fall vagrant to Arizona with about 25 records in all; most records are in the fall.

Adult male in breeding plumage has a black cap, white cheek, black malar; throat, chest and underparts are crisp white with streaking on the sides. Legs are pale. Two white wingbars.
