Rufous-capped Warbler (Basileuterus rufifrons), Miller Canyon - Split Rock, Cochise County

This Rufous-capped Warbler was found by Ron Beck and Erika Wilson on 17 March 2017 and photographed by Marvin Smith and Michael Hilchey on 23 May 2017

Believe same bird reported spordically since March in upper Miller Cayon. Over twenty records, many involving multiple individuals, long staying birds, and breeding. This springs report is first in Miller Canyon since 2015.

Unmistakeable, yellow throat and breast with rufous crown stripes and auriculars, and bold white supercilium.
