Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres), Anderson Dairy Sludge Pond, Pinal County

This Ruddy Turnstone was found by Keith Kamper, Jake Mohlman, and Doug Jenness on 09 August 2017 and photographed by Keith Kamper and Chris Rohrer on the same day.

One of two Ruddy Turnstones found in Pinal County on this date. If accepted by the ABC these would represent only the 7th/8th records since being placed back on the review list in 2007 and the 2nd/3rd records for Pinal County.

Adult. Stocky shorebird with black and brown patch on chest, bright orange legs, pale throat, and short, slightly wedge-shaped bill.
