found and photographed by Eric Hough on 21 November 2017 First record for Navajo County.
Considered rare and decreasing across the state. Longspur with large pink-orange bill, thick pale supercilium, chestnut median coverts, tan upperparts and white belly, tail mostly white with black T seen during flight
(not visible here). The bright median coverts and
apparent black bases to the breast feathers suggest an
