Herring Gull (Larus argentatus), Lakeside Park, Pima County

This Herring Gull was found and photographed by Chris Rohrer on 01 October 2018 and  photographed by Pat Goltz on 02 October 2018

Though regular in the LCRV this species is strictly casual to southeast Arizona

All dark bill.  Blackish primaries with limited  pale edges. Well patterned coverts and scapulars. In flight note the pale inner primary window and brown checkered rump.
