Tricolored Munia (Lonchura malacca), Whitewater Draw, Cochise County

This Tricolored Munia was found by a Prescott Audubon Field Trip and photographed by Susan Drown on 15 August 2017

This species is commonly kept in captivity with several feral and increasing populations in North America.

Distcintive small but stocky and big billed finch like passerine. Black head and belly contrasts with white underparts and brown back and tail.
