Black-bellied Plover (Pluvialis squatarola), Prescott WTP (by permission), Yavapai County

This Black-bellied Plover was found and photographed by Susan Drown on 14 April 2019

Although rare but regular elsewhere in Arizona, there are few records of this species in Yavapai County.

Large plover, with solid black face and belly but (unlike golden-plovers) pure white undertail coverts.
