Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris), St. Johns, Apache County

This Painted Bunting was found and photographed by Eric Hough on 25 September 2019

Painted Bunting is an uncommon to rare but regular, occasionally numerous late summer and early fall migrant in SE Arizona and is casual at other times and areas.

Distinctive with uniform pale green plumage.
