Diluted Ibis sp. (Plegadis sp.), White Star Dairy, Pinal County

This Diluted Plegadis sp. was found and photographed by Doug Jenness on 14 October 2019

Presumed White-faced Ibis, but eye color is not visible in the photo.Unusual plumage.

Conditions causing diluted plumage, such as leucism, other genetic factors, and progressive graying, are rare in ibis.

A White Ibis would have pinker/oranger bill and legs.
