Northern Shoveler white (Spatula clypeata), Sedona wetlands, Yavapai County

This white Northern Shoveler was photographed by Sam Hough on 07 December 2019

Conditions causing abnormal white feathers, such as leucism and progressive graying, are relatively common in ducks. This is the third such Northern Shoveler that has been posted to the AZFO site.
