Eurasian Wigeon (Mareca penelope), Bellair Golf Club, Glendale, Maricopa County

This Eurasian Wigeon was found by Donna Walkuski and Paul Hershberger on 18 January 2020 and photographed by Donna Walkuski on the same date.

Eurasian Wigeon is a rare fall and winter visitor to Arizona, most regular on ponds and golf courses in the Phoenix area.

Rufous-brown head with buff crown, gray flanks, and blue bill with black tip.
