Blue-winged x Cinnamon Teal (Spatula discors x cyanoptera), Saddle Mountain Dairy Slop Ponds, Maricopa County

This apparent Blue-winged x Cinnamon Teal was found by Caleb Strand on 01 April 2020 and photographed by Caleb on 07 April 2020

A fairly common hybrid combination.

Based on these photos, this individual appears to show mainly Cinnamon Teal characteristics, but with hints of the bluish head of Blue-winged Teal, as well as a partial white face crescent.
