Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja), Willow Tank, Cochise County

This Roseate Spoonbill was photographed by Scott Olmstead on 13 September 2020.

Though removed from the state review list in 2014, this species is still rare in Arizona, with fewer records in Cochise County compared to other more western counties.

This summer has been excellent for Roseate Spoonbill in southern Arizona, with at least seven different individuals found in August.
