Palm Warbler (Setophaga palmarum), Gilbert Riparian Preserve, Maricopa County

This Palm Warbler was discovered on 30 September 2020 by Steve Hosmer and photographed by Gordon Karre on 01 October 2020 and Jim Burns on 02 October 2020.

Palm Warbler is a casual transient and winter visitor to Arizona.

Lemon-yellow undertail coverts. Generally drab, gray-brown coloration elsewhere with dark eye line and pale supercilium. Long tail with large white spots on the outer tail feathers. As is typical for this species, it was noted pumping its tail constantly.
