Eastern Meadowlark (Latin Name), Fort Lowell Park, Tucson, Pima County

This Eastern Meadowlark was photographed by Scott Olmstead on 09 October 2020.

This represents what might be a first record of Eastern Meadowlark from Urban Tucson. This species nests regularly in natural grassland as close as southern Pima County (on the way up to Madera Canyon), but is not known to wander much in the state. Finding one in a park in Tucson is very significant.
