Flammulated Owl (Latin Name), Green Valley, Pima County

This Flammulated Owl was photographed by Fred Mitchell on 11 November 2020.

Flammulated Owl is excedingly rare in the lowlands, and is virtually unknown in the state this late in the season. This provides what may be a first November record for the state, but there is at least one documented December record from Patagonia Lake 6 December 2018.
