Berylline Hummingbird (Amazilia beryllina), Santa Rita Lodge, Santa Cruz County

This Berylline Hummingbird was first reported on 14 May 2021 by Samantha Starr and photographed by Patricia Isaacson on 17 May 2021

Nearly annual summer visitor to the canyons of the southeast part of the state, and has nested. Note the rufous or cinnamon wing panels, purple-bronze upper tail, and bright green head, throat, & back.
