Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (Calidris acuminata), John Lake Playa, Coconino County

This Sharp-tailed Sandpiper was discovered by BB Oros on 29 September 2021 and photographed by Chris McCreedy the same day.

If accepted would be a 8th state record, and 2nd for Coconino; all but one have been from the fall.

Reddish crown and buffy breast without streaking distinguish immature Sharp-tail from Pectoral Sandpiper.
