Rusty Blackbird (Euphagus carolinus), Sweetwater Wetlands, Pima County

This Rusty Blackbird was photographed by Sharon Goldwasser on 30 January 2022 and by Gary Rosenberg on 4 February 2022

This species is casual in the state, with most records occurring during late fall and winter. There are about 35 records for the state. Virtually all records involve single individuals away from blackbird flocks, and are usually associated with water.
