White-eyed Vireo (Vireo griseus), Patagonia Lake State Park, Santa Cruz County

This White-eyed Vireo was discovered in the bushes behind the visitor's center at Patagonia Lake State Park on 3 December 2008 by Bill and Inez Prather and Dean and Mona Hill.  It was photographed by Inez Prather on 03 December 2008.

Considered a casual visitor to Arizona, with no apparent pattern of seasonal occurrence or distribution in the state. There are fewer than 20 previous records.

Overall stocky and short-tailed (size of Hutton's Vireo). Light iris, bright yellow lores and spectacles, white wingbars, yellowish sides and flanks
