Wood Thrush (Hylocichla mustelina), Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Pima County

This Wood Thrush was discovered and photographed by Philip Kline on 03 November 2008 at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum outside of Tucson.

Wood Thrush is a casual spring and fall migrant to Arizona with fewer than 20 previous records.  Note especially the rusty head that contrasts with the back and the large, black spots on the underparts.
