Streak-backed Oriole (Icterus pustulatus), Gilbert Water Ranch

The Streak-backed Oriole occurs less than annually in southern Arizona and and once in northern Arizona. Nests have been discovered near Dudleyville and Marana. This bird was photographed at the Gilbert Riparian Institute/Water Ranch on 10/08/06 by James McKay. This is likely the same individual that spent the winter at the Gilbert Riparian Institute last year.
