12th Annual Meeting

26-28 Oct. in Ajo Arizona

Meeting details and registration here.

For the 2018 Annual AZFO State Meeting we are heading to Ajo, Arizona! The Ajo and surrounding area holds an intriguing culture, history, and let’s not forget the under-explored birding areas! The meeting will be held at the historic Sonoran Desert Inn and Conference Center. Please make reservations soon (rooms available at nearby hotels).

The weekend will start with mini-field expeditions to area birding spots on Friday afternoon, followed by a social hour meet-and-greet. Saturday, you’ll hear interesting presentations from the AZFO Gale Monson Research Grant recipients, as well as others who have studied and documented Arizona’s birdlife.

Saturday night, attendees will gather to socialize and enjoy dinner, followed by our keynote speaker Nathan Pieplow. The weekend finishes with two workshops on Sunday covering earbirding and gull/shorebird ID (in Puerto Penasco). We hope that you will join us for this informative and fun event!
